Blog, Conductor

Conductor add-on updates were just released. The updates include some improvements and enhancements to the add-ons themselves as well some important fixes relating to updates.

As promised, you should see these updates in your WordPress Dashboard shortly.

Conductor Add-On Update Fixes

These add-on updates fix a potential PHP error that can occur during a Conductor plugin update. We’ve chosen to release the add-on updates prior to the next Conductor version to prevent this potential error from occurring. Please Note: The error has only occurred on only a few number of sites in a limited number of use cases. Here’s what could happen and how to fix it:

Upon updating Conductor (or any other WordPress plugin or theme), the plugin files are removed and the updated files are put in their place. During this process, Conductor add-ons may look for the Conductor_Updates class (for updates), which may not be available due to the removal of the old plugin files. If this situation occurs, a PHP error may appear after Conductor has been updated and Conductor (and add-ons) may become deactivated.

The Fix: If this does happen on your site, don’t fret. The Conductor plugin and add-ons will have been de-activated and will simply have to be re-activated. Head on over to your Plugins page and re-activate Conductor and any add-ons that you might be using. All of your settings will remain in-tact and no data will be lost.

Having issues after upgrading?

We have tested these add-on updates across many versions and variations of WordPress. If you encounter any unexpected issues, including the error mentioned above, and would like to contact us, please submit a support ticket.
